As I sit outside taking in some fresh air and enjoying the cool breeze giving me a taste of fall, I realize I haven't posted something in a week. My creative juices have finally run out and my mind is literally blank--unsure of what to write and unsure of what my readers what to read. But, it hits me, my target audience is gen z or people interested in the gen z lifestyle; the one thing we are going through as a collective is that we are nearing back to school in a corona filled society. So, I've decided to put together an in-depth list of things we can all add to our back to school bucket list, in order to still have the best year ever. For me, this is my senior year, my last time to make my mark on my school and my peers, but also my last time to have the best time ever in this chapter of life. Although, this list is more targeted towards seniors, inspiration can be found for any grade. So, without further ado lets get started.
1.Write a letter to future self
![](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/nsplsh_323c440e2b804e20bc00e65b60a5cfce~mv2.jpg/v1/fill/w_980,h_662,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_avif,quality_auto/nsplsh_323c440e2b804e20bc00e65b60a5cfce~mv2.jpg)
This one I'm really excited to do! I think it'll be really cool to write down my fears and ambitions and have it to look back on when I graduate college. When I was in 8th grade they had us do it, to open on the night of our graduation, which I'm super excited to get. I think senior year is the perfect opportunity to do it again for college.
2. Disposable camera scrapbook
![](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/58ac5317caca4ce5a1cc94bc5737b15a.jpg/v1/fill/w_980,h_722,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_avif,quality_auto/58ac5317caca4ce5a1cc94bc5737b15a.jpg)
Although, this school year is not going to be ideal no matter how school boards decide to run it, I think it's still important to document our experiences. I love disposable cameras (although they are a little overpriced) and I think it would be so fun to have to look back on when I am older! Plus it'll definitely push me to say yes to things and have more experiences.
3. Dress up for school dances
![](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/3ac0a4_f54fe6c4b37b42908c6bd25234544e56~mv2.gif/v1/fill/w_877,h_657,al_c,pstr/3ac0a4_f54fe6c4b37b42908c6bd25234544e56~mv2.gif)
School dances are probably one of the most stereotypical high school traditions, but it is also something that probably won't be able to happen this year. As the optimist I am though, I see this as an opportunity instead of a set back. The opportunity being: thrifting or d.i.y.ing a hoco/prom dress and having a fun little photoshoot either at a distance or with masks! This way we will still get to partake in one of my favorite parts of homecoming: getting dressed up.
4. Senior year journal recap
![](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/d37f5908c13c4f04b9b976f448f87248.jpg/v1/fill/w_980,h_653,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_avif,quality_auto/d37f5908c13c4f04b9b976f448f87248.jpg)
One of the best ways to express a build up of emotions is through journaling! I've always loved journaling, but this year I think it would be cool to write a journal entry recap of every single day of my senior year. I'd be documenting: fun events that happen, strange things, my thoughts, my goals for the week, etc. It'll be a great memento to look back on later on.
5. Vlog 1 full day of school
![](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/nsplsh_4c35784262666841704f49~mv2_d_3072_2048_s_2.jpg/v1/fill/w_980,h_653,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_avif,quality_auto/nsplsh_4c35784262666841704f49~mv2_d_3072_2048_s_2.jpg)
If you know me personally, then you know that I love making little vlogs! I'm honestly surprised I haven't done this earlier. Regardless of that, I've made it a goal this year, to vlog one complete day of school no matter what happens. Document walking into my classes, and my friends, and just my daily routine within school. Again, I think this would be an awesome thing to have when I'm older or to compare to my college lifestyle.
6. Senior year playlist
![](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/3ac0a4_73da1516f2f6408fa69614dd687291f5~mv2.jpg/v1/fill/w_334,h_609,al_c,q_80,enc_avif,quality_auto/3ac0a4_73da1516f2f6408fa69614dd687291f5~mv2.jpg)
I'm a big music fanatic, which I assume most people are. Why? Because I whole heartedly believe that music is the key to life. It can change a mood, cause a feeling of nostalgia, bring someone so much happiness, or cause random dance parties. But, all of that is besides the point. The main thing is making playlists are fun and it would be cool to make a playlist that is the soundtrack to my senior year. Any songs that I listens to on repeat during the school year, or songs that play when something big happens, or any songs that my friends show me etc. is something I will add to my ongoing list. That way by the end of my senior year I'll have a playlist of music that got me through the year and right to graduation.
7. Star gaze
![](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/nsplsh_4a7a746d783979716a4277~mv2.jpg/v1/fill/w_980,h_551,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_avif,quality_auto/nsplsh_4a7a746d783979716a4277~mv2.jpg)
This one is kind of random, but one of my friends constantly tells me that I've never truly seen the stars (aka light pollution and actual pollution has caused a bad view of the stars). So, one of my goals for this year is to experience a true star gazing moment and feel the peace that comes with being in the middle of nowhere and just taking in the beauty of our planet.
8. Have an adventure alone
![](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/nsplsh_356432306b647646436641~mv2_d_2738_1825_s_2.jpg/v1/fill/w_980,h_653,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_avif,quality_auto/nsplsh_356432306b647646436641~mv2_d_2738_1825_s_2.jpg)
One of my biggest ambitions is to graduate and head straight for the best city ever: NYC (yes I'm a little biased). The thing about that: it's the city that never sleeps. Therefore, peacefulness is not a big thing I'll get to experience whilst living there. That is why, I want to take the opportunity this year to go out and have a peaceful adventure just me, myself, and I. Whether that be finding a fun thinking rock or just reading in the park, I think it'll be great to take time for myself.
9. Visit and thank old teachers
![](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/nsplsh_426744764161706f666530~mv2_d_2670_4000_s_4_2.jpg/v1/fill/w_980,h_1468,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_avif,quality_auto/nsplsh_426744764161706f666530~mv2_d_2670_4000_s_4_2.jpg)
I've been in public school now for approximately 12 years and this will be my 13th, so what better way is there to show appreciation to all the teachers who have got me here, than to physically thank them and tell them how grateful I am for everything they have done for me! I think it's so important to recognize all the amazing people who have helped you out no matter what stage of life you are in. Because, in most to all cases, you didn't get there alone!
10. Decorate graduation cap
![](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/nsplsh_384371447650756f5f6b49~mv2_d_2626_1751_s_2.jpg/v1/fill/w_980,h_653,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_avif,quality_auto/nsplsh_384371447650756f5f6b49~mv2_d_2626_1751_s_2.jpg)
I know decorating graduation caps are a cliché movie thing, but if my school allows it, I will hop right onto that bandwagon. I've always wanted to decorate a cap for graduation and now's the time. Yes, I do realize that's sort of a strange dream to have, but come on, doesn't it seem so fun?!
11. Girls road trip
![](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/52e619e48c3f479c98bf5db2fb8c346c.jpg/v1/fill/w_980,h_653,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_avif,quality_auto/52e619e48c3f479c98bf5db2fb8c346c.jpg)
My intention was to only share 10 ideas, as to not make this post too lengthy, but I just had to share this final idea! I think this is more of a summer after senior year activity, but It still deserves to be added to the list! This would definitely be one of the most fun things to do! Spending one last week with all your girls before slitting up for college just seems like the most precious thing. I can't think of anything I would rather do, than go on a farewell road trip!
There is no time like the present to go out there and live your best life. Although, life seems completely upside down, for us seniors it is our last chance to live out that high school dream, whatever that may mean to us! I think you all should grab a pen and paper and make a list of everything you want to accomplish during this upcoming school year (no pressure). If you want to see my full list I'll add a picture of it down below!
